Building upon the success of the original, Conduit 2 takes players to the far reaches of the world to stop an alien invasion which can be fought in single-player, online multi-player battles, and all-new off and online co-op modes. Armed with advanced and powerful weapons, players can expect massive action in large, multi-tiered levels featuring dynamic environments, cinematic battles, giant adversaries, and deep customisation features.
Conduit 2 introduces Team Invasion Mode, the new co-op mode where players will be able to battle side-by-side with up to four friends on the same screen. Additionally Team Invasion Mode can be played online. Conduit 2 also features a new and more expansive 12-player online competitive multiplayer mode with larger and more intricate indoor and outdoor battlefields. Conduit 2 supports Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, Wii Speak™ and offers increased multiplayer security.
Conduit 2 is set to release in Fall 2010 exclusively for Wii.
I'm quite excited. I think the first one was good and this will be bringing more to the table. The mere mention of local multiplayer is a selling point to many gamers. Not to mention there's most likely a continuation of the cliffhanger in the last game. Let's hope the ending this time isn't as abrupt as the first.
This new skateboarding game promises to provide an "innovative twist" and "fresh take" on the genre. Though mostly known for his snowboarding skills, Shaun White is the first athlete to win both gold medals in skateboarding and snowboarding at the Summer and Winter X Games.
I really can't wait to see Cammie's face when this is demoed at Nintendo's E3 2010 Media Summit. Shaun White Skateboarding will be available for all major current generation consoles.
Throughout the last couple of weeks I have seen a lot of Metroid Other M hate coming from Nintendo Fanboys, and people fans of games in general. This hate started after Nintendo released the teaser trailer for Metroid Other M. For people who don't know what Metroid Other M is, it is a 2.5D Metroid developed by TeamNinja and Nintendo. The hate pretty much surrounded that one teaser trailer, because the fans didn't like that Samus has a voice. They also didn't like the way she looked. After reading some comments on Twitter and other social networking sites, I really started to believe that gamers complain about anything. In my opinion, Why complain about voice acting in a game? I am sure plenty other of games have terrible voice acting as well. Plus I really think that stories in games have really ruined the way we play games, because it seems like no one actually plays games to have fun anymore; It is all about the story now. In my opinion I think that stories in games should really be in the very last part of development, and developers should refine the gameplay more than the characters voice. Overall, I really think that all gamers need to chill out about this all Samus looks and talks weird thing. If gamers imagined Samus to have a different voice, then they should just go to college, and major in programming, and develop a all-new Metroid game yourself.
Here is the trailer:

At today's Nintendo Media Summit, Nintendo dropped some pertinent details about Capcom's very successful and Wii Speak-compatible hunt-em-up, Monster Hunter Tri. The game will release on April 20 in North America as two versions: bundled with a Classic Controller Pro for $59.99 (while supplies last) and as a standalone game for $49.99. The game will also ditch the pay-to-play model for online play, as used in Japan, in favor of free online functionality. Additionally, GameStop pre-orderers will receive a demo disc on March 8.
More great news for Wii owners, more bad news for my wallet. I really want to get that demo disc too. Oh well, there's always bank heists...
Nintendo announced that it will be releasing Metroid: Other M to American shores on June 27th of 2010, aka this year. Personally I'm stoked and at the same time fear for the health of my wallet this year.
Not much here, but apparently the release date for Red Steel 2 was posted onto the Ubisoft website, without even a mention of it anywhere until now. I have a bad feeling Ubisoft isn't going to promote this game enough.
Since the best-selling Wii games are all still selling at full price, Nintendo determined the titles to be released in this collection in a really smart way: with user recommendations from the Nintendo Channel. Each of the games is given a "medal" rank based on the user response, with the most recommended game on the list being Chunsoft's visual novel 428. Other titles in the collection include Muramasa, Arc Rise Fantasia, We Ski & Snowboard, and One Piece and Dragon Ball Z games. See the full list of initial releases after the break.
It's good to see Nintendo bringing back what is basically Player's Choice from GameCube and its other iterations. This time around they're based on rankings from recommendations on the Nintendo Channel. So if it gets a Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze "certification" expect to maybe see it come out on this. Hell, I think Metroid Prime 3 is STILL $50 despite Trilogy.
While The Beatles and Green Day will take advantage of vocal harmonies, it seems Harmonix has other significant updates to make for the Rock Band platform. "As efficient as digital distribution is, there are still things that are much more efficiently delivered as a disc. In terms of major upgrades, I mean. That said, we haven't announce any formal plans for a sequel game ... yet."
Seems to me like Harmonix has something interesting to show us later this year. Let the speculation begin... now.
The black boxes are meant to be another warning for parents, on top of the colorful CERO labels on the spine and the CERO stamp on the cover. This packaging may actually have a benefit too since these games will standout against the basic white box art.
Nintendo seems willing to help warn parents, and point out to gamers which games are mature and which aren't. Currently this is only in Japan and will apply to games rated by CERO a C, D, or Z rating (basically, Teen and up). I'm hoping this comes to North America soon, I'm tired of looking at the white boxes. Also, I think black is a better color anyway. Not as good as red, of course, but less of an eye strain than white. :D
The game will be very different from the dungeon field dungeon method we are accustomed too (nothing new, Eiji Aonuma confirmed that last year).
You will be able to select right or left handed at the start, and Link will be left or right handed based on your selection
The gameplay and basic mechanics are complete.
They are currently polishing up the story and Characters.
One of the characters they are working on is a innkeeper in Link's home village who has a son that looks up to Link.
The girl in the art is not the Master Sword, and it appears the Master Sword will not be in the game.
The girls name from the painting could possibly be Adelle, Adella, or Aderu.
She is not with you throughout the game like Ezlo and Midna.
The face in the painting of her is not her real face. It's not fully elaborated on much, but it does say that it was a place holder concept art piece.(assuming the entire art itself was just concept work)
Link's sword is highly unique in this game, and will have several unlockable abilities. Adelle (or whatever her final name becomes) communicates with you through this sword.
There will be horseback combat. Epona will avoid obstacles automatically.
The models for 3 significant characters in the game have been touched up, but no they are not Zelda or Ganondorf. (Google translate gives rough names of Link, Gorons, and Epona, but our translator said it's not specifically mentioned)
The idea of this version of Link also being The Hero of Time has been highly considered, and may already be implemented.
Time travel plays a roll in the game.
The game takes place in more then just Hyrule, and may possibly not be Hyrule at all.
According to the source, the above was leaked onto the Japanese internet forum 2ch.
Some of it seems interesting, such as the part about choosing left or right (I assume because this will appeal to lefties for motion controls, or "Zelda purists", those self-entitled a-holes who need to stfu about what THEY want Nintendo to do) and anything else I made bold.
Greenpeace's latest Guide to Greener Electronics report scores Nintendo a pitiful 1.4 out of 10 for its policies on toxic chemicals, recycling and climate change, the lowest of the 18 firms to make the list.
Yet again Nintendo gets a low score because it refuses to give up its right to keep certain patented, or almost patented manufacturing processes a trade secret. This is why no one takes Greenpeace seriously anymore. I think it's about time we get a better organization to handle advocacy for the environment, because Greenpeace is too focused on being stupid. I mean, the Wii has a maximum power rating of 45W when turned on. Where's the credit for that? The CPUs in the 360 and PS3 alone probably use more than that.
Fresh off the rumors that the new game by EA Sports would coach players on football techniques on the Wii (i.e. NFL Trainer), ESPN’s sources are telling the sports giant that the new EA Sports game will in fact be an updated retail version of NBA Jam.
These unnamed sources told ESPN that the publisher recently acquired the rights from the NBA for the updated release and hired the games creator ,Mark Turmell, to consult. EA Sports is tight lipped at the moment about all this and wouldn’t comment instead just telling us to wait for their big announcement next week.
For those who aren’t familiar with the game due to age or whatever, NBA Jam was one of the first basketball arcade games and one of the first to include NBA teams with real digitized NBA players. In terms of its style, the words “arcade action” are an understatement as the game featured 2-on-2 B-ball madness with no rules other then no goal tending. Players could jump ridiculous heights and if a player made three baskets in a row they would be “on fire” and then the player could goal tend, have unlimited turbo, and increased shooting accuracy.
Oh my god, please let this be true. I have spent countless hours in the arcade when I was little, and reviving this game would make my inner child run around and scream inside me.
We are only seven days in the new year, and Nintendo's global president has already announced their big plans for 2010. Well we aren't quite sure if it is true, but at least it is something. On January 6th, 2010 Iwata announced that the next Zelda game for the Wii will be out this year, and DS successor will be announced later this year, and the new DS will have featured higher resolution games, and much more. Of course the immediate response from all Nintendo fanboys was, "OMG ZELDA THIS YEAR!!!" But all I have to say is that I will believe it when I see it, because I am sure we all remember Twilight Princess. As for the new DS, I am excited for it, because I would like to see what Nintendo has up their sleeves now. I guess all of our questions will be answered at this years Electronic Entertainment Expo.
