Greenpeace Yet Again Down-Ranks Nintendo For Not Divulging Company Secrets About Its Manufacturing

Category: By TheAssailant

Greenpeace's latest Guide to Greener Electronics report scores Nintendo a pitiful 1.4 out of 10 for its policies on toxic chemicals, recycling and climate change, the lowest of the 18 firms to make the list.

Yet again Nintendo gets a low score because it refuses to give up its right to keep certain patented, or almost patented manufacturing processes a trade secret. This is why no one takes Greenpeace seriously anymore. I think it's about time we get a better organization to handle advocacy for the environment, because Greenpeace is too focused on being stupid. I mean, the Wii has a maximum power rating of 45W when turned on. Where's the credit for that? The CPUs in the 360 and PS3 alone probably use more than that.
